Decision fatigue is when it’s hard to make a sound decision because of the sheer volume of overall decisions to make.
Avoid this by minimizing the number of decisions you have to make.
Set up routines and habits that help you avoid these small mundane decisions.
For example, I don’t:
- Worry about what I wear
- Involve myself in other’s decisions (unless they ask and I can help)
- Choose my meal at restaurants (I just ask the server for their favorite)
We can only make so many quality decisions in a day.
Don’t waste them on the mundane. Save your willpower by avoiding decision fatigue.
